Research Interests:

Retardation of normal corneal wound healing due to sulfur mustard exposure, contribution of collagens to corneal transparency Regulation of corneal development and wound healing via expression of discrete sets of collagens, Fibril-Associated Collagens with Interrupted Triple helices (FACITs)-role in collagen fibril assembly, pathological assembly of collagen matrices in the cornea, pathological assembly of collagen (fibrosis) in liver, lung, umbilical arteries & fetal membranes, function of transmembranous collagens in development and wound healing, role of EMMPRIN and collagen XXIII in tumor progression and metastasis, and impact of diesel particles on capillary endothelial cell biology.
